JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. - Clark-Pleasant Community School Corporation Superintendent Dr. Timothy Edsel answered questions from Rob West of KORN Country 100.3 concerning the 2026 Referendum Renewal that will appear on the November ballot.
According to Dr. Edsel, this referendum renewal will replace the current one, originally approved in 2018 and set to expire in December 2028. Therefore, this is not an additional referendum, but a replacement of the existing one.
The proposed tax rate will decrease from $0.10 to $0.09. The renewal will support school safety and student support services.
The school safety component will help support the continued operation of the Clark-Pleasant Police Department. The student services component will provide nurses in each school building and behavioral health services directly to students.
