Edinburgh approves over $777K in utility equipment for substation improvements

EDINBURGH, Ind. — The Edinburgh Town Council approved two major utility purchases totaling more than $777,000 for the Industrial Park Substation at its September 14 meeting.

Acting on recommendations from Alpha Engineering, the council approved:

• 15 kV Circuit Breakers: Bought from ABB for $434,900 to maintain substation safety and operation
• Switch Package: Purchased through MacLean Power Systems for $342,560, for equipment needs

Substation equipment purchases were included in long-term capital planning for the facility's construction and ongoing maintenance.
