JENNINGS COUNTY, Ind. - UPDATE: According to the Jennings County Sheriff's Office(JCSO) Highway 50 is back open for the time being, some vehicles have been left and will be removed when conditions improve. Please travel safely and do not drive through water.

The Jennings County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) issued a warning over social media on Wednesday, August 12, that US Highway 50 East, between Butlerville and Nebraska, is closed indefinitely due to high floodwaters.
JCSO is asking drivers to avoid the area as further rainfall will compound these conditions throughout the day.
