Temporary closure for part of Hospital Road at US 31 starts Wednesday

FRANKLIN, Ind. - The City of Franklin has announced that, as part of the ongoing construction in Phase 3 of the US 31 corridor improvement project, Milestone Contractors will close Hospital Road at US 31 on Wednesday, September 9. This closure only involves the approach to Hospital Road at US 31.

Traffic on Hospital Road will not be able to access US 31 but will have access to homes and businesses west of US 31 through alternate routes. US 31 traffic will not have access to Hospital Road during this closure.

This closure is necessary to remove existing pavement on Hospital Road, construct new sub-base, install new concrete curb and gutter, and re-pave this portion of Hospital Road.

Weather permitting, the contractor anticipates completing this work by Friday, September 25t
