Seymour Community Schools readies for 2026-2027 school year

SEYMOUR, Ind. - The Seymour Community School Corporation (SCSC) is preparing to welcome students back for the 2026-2027 school year in less than a month.

Building-specific and Harmony Registration information will be shared in the coming weeks via Parent Square and Social Media.   

The first day for students is Wednesday, August 5, but orientations and open houses will be taking place before that. 

Here are the SCSC Back-to-School dates:   

  • July 29 - Seymour High School 10 to 12th-grade Chromebook Pickup (Option 1), 3 to 7 p.m.
  • July 30 - Seymour High School 10 to 12th-grade Chromebook Pickup (Option 2), 1 to 3 p.m.
  • July 30 - Seymour High School freshman orientation at 8:30 a.m.
  • July 30 - Seymour Middle School Open House (Option 1), 9 to 11 a.m. or 1 to 3 p.m.
  • August 3 - Seymour Middle School Open House (Option 2), 5 to 7 p.m.
  • July 30 - Kindergarten orientation at 5:30 p.m.
  • August 3 - Kindergarten through 4th-Grade Back-to-School night, 4 to 6 p.m.
  • August 3 - Intermediate 5th-grade Back-to-School night. 4 to 6 p.m.
  • August 4 - Intermediate 6th-Grade Back-to-School night, 4 to 6 p.m.
  • August 5 - First day of classes
