CRH announces new President/CEO officially starts Wednesday

COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus Regional Health (CRH) welcomes Andrew “Andy” Guz, MHA, for his first day as its next President and Chief Executive Officer on Wednesday, July 1.

Guz succeeds Interim President/CEO Jim Bickel, following his 35 years of leadership at CRH.

“This is certainly an exciting time for Columbus Regional Health and the Columbus community as we welcome Mr. Guz,” said Don Michael, Chair of the Columbus Regional Health Board of Trustees. “Andy brings an outstanding combination of strategic vision, operational expertise, and a deep commitment to safe, quality, relationship-based care that aligns with the CRH culture and mission.”   

Guz, age 44, has over 20 years of healthcare leadership experience. He earned a Master of Health Administration from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Marshall University. He has also served on numerous civic, healthcare, and economic development boards throughout his career.

“For any community to thrive, access to high-quality healthcare has to be a priority,” said Guz. “I am thrilled to join Columbus Regional Health to continue on the organization’s mission, further strengthen its solid reputation, and support the talented, dedicated workforce.” 

He and his family have relocated to Columbus. “From the moment we visited, we knew Columbus was the right fit for us. Everyone is so welcoming,” he said. “We’re eager to get involved in the community and learn more about what makes Columbus so special.”
