CPD Sgt. Stevens wins District 9 School Resource Officer of year award

COLUMBUS, Ind. - The Columbus Police Department (CPD) has announced that Sgt. Eric Stevens was recently named the Indiana School Resource Officers Association (INSROA) Region 9 School Resource Officer (SRO) of the Year.  

Sgt. Stevens has served as an SRO in the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation since the program began in 2014 and has made a lasting impact both inside and outside the school system.

For over a decade, he has built positive relationships and mentored young people throughout the community. This award reflects his dedication to the students and staff he serves each day.

A CPD spokesperson said, "We are proud of Sgt. Stevens, and we are grateful for the work he does every day."
