COLUMBUS, Ind. - ColumBUS Transit riders will get an upgrade to their digital experience, as ColumBUS Transit and the Transit app announce a new partnership.
The partnership makes Transit the recommended app for ColumBUS Transit riders. All riders now have access to Transit Royale, a “pro” version of the popular mobile app.
Riders gain access to unlimited departure schedules, additional trip planning options, custom app themes and icons, and more.
“We’re excited to provide this world-class app to our riders - free of charge,” said Matt Dudukovich, Director of Transportation. “Riders have already been using the free version of the app and have been very happy with it. We’re excited to provide this enhanced experience to make our system even easier to use.”
The Transit app makes trip planning and wayfinding a breeze, with step-by-step directions on how to ride ColumBUS to any destination, including adding walking time to each bus stop from the user’s current location.
The app also allows users to receive real-time notifications about service disruptions, route changes, and planned detours. The notifications will show the best options for getting from point A to point B. This partnership will make public transit more reliable and easier to use in Columbus.
