Columbus sets days, times for personal fireworks this week

COLUMBUS, Ind. - The Columbus Police Department, Columbus Fire Department, and the City of Columbus want residents to be aware of when you can light personal fireworks over the long Independence Day holiday week.

Columbus ordinance allows for consumer fireworks to be used within the city on the following days and times:

  • June 29 to July 3 - from 5 p.m. to midnight
  • July 4 - from 10 a.m. to midnight
  • July 5 - from 5 p.m. to midnight

Officials know that fireworks can be a fun way to celebrate, but they can also be dangerous. Use them safely and responsibly.
