Bartholomew County Prosecutor's Office celebrates 'Crime Victims' Rights Week'

COLUMBUS, Ind. - April 19-25 is National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, an annual observance that brings communities together and raises awareness about victims’ rights and the services available to them. This year's theme is "Listen. Act. Advocate: Protect victims, serve communities."

The Bartholomew County Prosecutor’s Office (BCPO) served victims in over 600 cases in 2025, but the prosecutors recognize that the impact on victims lasts beyond the closure of a court case. They want victims in Bartholomew County to know there are resources and help available.

As part of this week, BCPO also wants to thank its victim advocates who work tirelessly to meet the needs of victims, as well as all medical first responders and law enforcement who help victims every day.
