BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Bloomington Police Department is investigating after five women were injured in a shooting on Kirkwood Avenue on Sunday, April 26, during the Little 500 weekend.
At 12:25 a.m., officers on scene responded to the 400 block of East Kirkwood Avenue following reports of shots being fired
Victims were between 17 and 22 years old. According to the Bloomington Mayor's Office, the victims were:

20-year-old woman (Plainfield), bullet to the upper torso; fragments in the side of the torso

18-year-old woman (South Bend), embedded bullet fragments in the ankle and shin

22-year-old woman (South Bend), embedded bullet fragments in the back of the thigh

17-year-old female (Indianapolis), embedded bullet fragments in the foot and ankle

21-year-old woman (Indianapolis), embedded bullet fragments in the shins and thighs
