North Vernon names new street department superintendent

NORTH VERNON, Ind. - The City of North Vernon recently appointed Eric Wiesman as the new North Vernon Street Department Superintendent.

Wiesman brings a strong work ethic, a commitment to public service, and a genuine pride in the North Vernon community. City officials say they are confident that, under his leadership, the department will continue to move forward with the same dedication to keeping our streets safe, clean, and well-maintained for all residents.

The city also extends its sincere gratitude to Garrie Ritchie for his many years of dedicated service. Ritchie has been a steady and dependable presence in and outside of the City of North Vernon Street Department.

A spokesperson said, "His commitment has not gone unnoticed. We truly appreciate everything he has done for the City of North Vernon, and we wish him well in retirement."
