NORTH VERNON, Ind. – A local man led Indiana State Police (ISP) troopers and deputies with the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) on a high-speed chase from Jackson to Jennings County on Wednesday afternoon, December 17.
NORTH VERNON, Ind. – A local man led Indiana State Police (ISP) troopers and deputies with the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) on a high-speed chase from Jackson to Jennings County on Wednesday afternoon, December 17.
Brandon Webb, 27, allegedly drove off during a traffic stop, and the pursuit was on, as he led law enforcement from Seymour to North Vernon. During the chase, an ISP cruiser was damaged. Webb eventually abandoned his vehicle near the Crosley Lake Dam and fled on foot.
During the foot pursuit, JCSO Sheriff Kenny Freeman was hurt after coming into contact with a barbed-wire fence.
Webb was arrested and booked into the Jennings County Jail on preliminary charges of:
- Auto Theft (Level 6 Felony)
- Resisting Law Enforcement (Misdemeanor)
- Resisting arrest by vehicle, Resisting causing injuries (Level 6 Felony)
- Reckless driving (Misdemeanor).
All suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law
