DUPONT, Ind. - The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) learned on Saturday that a possible theft had occurred on Friday night involving a construction crew in the Dupont area.
During the investigation, Lt. Thomas Mellencamp located the suspect vehicle, and Deputy Max Marcoux conducted a traffic stop.
Both occupants of that vehicle, Joshua Hahn and Kevin Vaughn, supposedly admitted to breaking into a building in the Dupont area and allegedly stealing tools belonging to the construction crew.
JCSO deputies recovered approximately $40,000 worth of stolen tools, along with methamphetamine and drug-related items. All of the recovered tools were returned to their rightful owner.
Hahn and Vaughn were arrested and are currently facing charges, including:
- Burglary
- Theft
- Possession of Meth
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
